So Jason and Summer came to visit me which I will share after they leave. Really happy they came up =) Thats a lot to give even if its their company because
thats a LONG drive and with todays gas prices, A LOT of money. I cant express how thankful and happy I am they came up.

But on Saturday night the 26th of April was OMFG AMAZING.

CAUTION: I am about to drop a lot of F bombs to express my amazement

Ok so saturday night was thrice... Jason, Summer and Corrie came :)
Corrie wasnt going to come but I just told her one day that "Mel saw thrice with me" as a joke and she was like FINE IM GOING! and I was just kinda like... really? lol

We went late because I wanted to see Pelican but didnt really care and was hoping we would miss Circa Survive (we didnt). As we got to the masquerade I noticed there was NO PARKING like friggin everywhere. I knew this couldn’t all be for Thrice because ive been to sold out shows before and it was nowhere near this packed. We finally found a parking spot in a back alley where Jason thought we were gonna get mugged, raped, sold off to the black market and forced into sexual slave labor but I didn’t think so.

As we got there I found out why it was so packed… The Honda Civic Tour was going on literally in the backyard of the Masqerade. Motion City = Awesome, Panic at the Disco = fkin gay (cept that new song is catchy) and both for around $50 = no thanks.

Anyways we got there and there was no band playing, I was hoping it was for Thrice but it wasn’t.. It was for Circa Survive. So I saw this band before when they played with Underoath I think? and they were pretty gay. So gay I cant remember who they played with. And years before that they were gonna play before Say Anything but that was when Max went crazy and took a room in the loony house.

But yeah they came on and they were really really really gay. So gay im going to drop my first F bomb on them. They fucking sucked my corn hole

THRICE THRICE THRICE!!!

Thrice FINALLY came on and dear lord. Sweet mother of mary. They were holy crap.

Ok ok ok

So last time I saw them when they played with Brand New and they were amazing then but they had a short set BUT this time… ALMOST 2 HOURS OF NOTHING BUT THRICE!! FUCK YES!!

Their set was unbelievable. It was soooo good they were so fucking amazing it blew my mind. I have not been to a show THAT great in a long time.

I know you people probly don’t care as much as I do but this is my blog so I will continue my rave. My first surprise was after circa survive was done playing some people left… SRSLY!? I read on a forum to look at other ppls setlist and someone posted atlantas and said that he saw people leaving too and heard someone say “WHERE ARE YOU PEOPLE GOING, THE BEATLES ARE ABOUT TO PLAY!!!”  lulz =)

Ok yes WOW! AMAZING SET LIST!! Better than ever before, the flow was incredible. The fact that they played Hoods of Peregrine, Don’t Tell and We Wont Ask (one of my FAVORITE songs) and Stand And Feel Your Worth for the first time ever for me was amazing.

And wow the last song.. The Earth Will Shake…
They played this at Bamboozle and the Tabernacle with Brand New as their closing song. Bamboozle was okay, not too much energy (they were hoping for deadbolt or awake and avenge as the encore). Same with Brand New sorta but a little more energy but dear gawd this time… The band was silent and Dustin went in front of the stage and started to sing and nobody could hear him but we kinda read his lips and by the first line we were all chanting the opening of the song and everyone was stomping in rhythm to the song. There was so much energy from that and since the Masqerade feels like the floor is about to collapse you felt the floor tremble from every stomp.

Corrie was “Omg it’s a cult chanting and stomping”

And when the chorus came in… WOW.
I don’t think I have ever been that pumped during a song.

I love Thrice, they are amazing. The songs they played off The Alchemy Index were amazing… This band is amazing

We did various things throughout the week but it was unfortunate that I had work and class so we didnt get to do as much we shouldve been.

We picked up Corrie one night to prepare for an event





We did get to see the amazing band Say Anything for a not so amazing set. Yeah they stunk, horrible horrible set. There are a lot of good songs off the new album but they didnt play hardly any of them and the flow of the songs was crappy. So crappy a pit didnt even break out until the last song which made me ANGRY but its not their fault its Say Anythings fault.

After the show we went back to my place with Corrie as an addition. So this night was amazing.. Why was it amazing? I'lll tell you why.

My dorm room consists of one queen bed and with 2 other girls that means something good. Now let me explain to you why this is good.. Nvm let me show you a picture...



That is right, I slept between Alley and Corrie and got to flip flop as I pleased. Yes I am that amazing.. Yes you may shake my hand.

But it was good seeing Alley, she should be seeing me again during the summer which wil make me happy because i'll be basically alone.

But set that aside.. WORK!!!
Work has been work.. because of finals i've been only working about 20 hours a week so im kinda low on cash. IM BROKE

Ok so spring break was the first week of march and it was pretty awesome.

So my dad and I drove down to Miami (yes my dad joined me). It was a pretty frikkin long drive.

The first destination was obviously Corrie's. I got a nice visit from Becca and ... wtf is her name... devin! Yeah she said things like "raw" and that totally turned off any jail bait interest I had in her before.

So now theres no jail bait interests. What a depressing time indeed. That is a SIGN that im getting old.

Little later Oscar met up with me at the house and we went on a journey. Went to ...Anne's house i think? Watched Juno and ate mcdonalds hamburgers for 29 cents (wewt). Afterwards we got jake, grabbed beer and went to FIU!





We went around in the nature trail, chilled around campus.. Was fun lol

Okay so I dont exactly remember moment by moment or day by day but uhhh??? The next day I was at Jasons with Eric and Jake I believe. Late in the night everyone came by adn it was like a reunion!

Next day... Apple Bee's/Jasons/Smash Bro Brawl/Sleepover!! ZOMG!

I really liked the new smash bros and almost... ALMOST regret selling my wii. But screw that, I dont want a console for a couple games. Staying at jasons was cool :)

But big highlight!! We went to Toni's place after and hung out there. Afterwards we went to Fridays







I really missed Toni and it was so so so so awesome seeing her. I wish I could kidnap her and bring her along with me but nooooo. Shes gonna be a big bad air force officer :( Im jealous of her.. Then again im jealous of all the cadets who made it but proud and happy for them..

Anyways ont he subject of cadets... After we got back from Friday's we stopped by the det because I wanted to see it again. And OF COURSE fernie was there because he has no other life



Fernie is an awesome guy and he got his pilot slot. Really happy for him, he deserved it

I miss everyone there...

Some good times at that place... Next time im there I will have to visit that place with my closest friends once again.

My spring break ended the day after with breakfast at Dennys with a very very very special guest



Twas a good breakfast and a last breakfast with most of my closest.





Spring break was good and I missed everyone so much but south florida sucks big time. I missed it a lot when I was up in GA but once I got there I realized that I truly moved on to the next stage in my life. I guess it was good for me to move up here.

I drove up to jacksonville to see my grandparents. I <3 my grandparents they are so awesome. Next day they made me a hearty breakfast adn I headed back home
